As the Director of IT Technical Services, your role is to plan, organize, and manage technology and people to ensure the stable operation of the organization's IT infrastructure & services. This includes developing, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing key functional areas, particularly server infrastructure, cloud services, technology helpdesk, store and enterprise desktop services, database and system administration services, and disaster recovery services.

Strategy & Planning

+ Design and implement short-term and long-term plans to ensure infrastructure capacity meets existing and future requirements. Maintain a multiyear hybrid cloud/on-premise strategy roadmap.

+ Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for infrastructure administration and management.

+ Participate in the development of the annual IT strategic plan.

+ Conduct research and make recommendations on products, services, protocols, and standards in support of all hybrid cloud/on premise procurement and development efforts.

+ Understand, support, and promote the company's IT Governance practices.

+ Business technology continuity planning and implementation.

+ Manages continuity of business technology Plan and implement business technology with continuity. OR Plan and implement business technology while maintaining continuity.

+ Organizational design and planning experience for infrastructure and operations teams.

Acquisition & Deployment

+ Prepare RFPs, bid proposals, contracts, scope of work reports, and other documentation for projects.

+ Negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure infrastructure-specific products and services.

+ Assist with the planning and deployment of hybrid cloud/on-premise security measures.

Operational Management

+ Establish service level agreements with business units.

+ Manage and set priorities for the design, maintenance, development, and evaluation of all hybrid cloud/on-premise.

+ Collaboratively participate with PMO in delivering IT and business projects.

+ Define hybrid cloud/on-premise standards in conjunction with the CIO.

+ Test infrastructure performance and provide performance statistics and reports; develop strategies for maintaining the infrastructure.

+ Manage operational costs to an assigned budget and produce monthly financial forecasts for assigned budgets. Proactively look for cost-saving opportunities.

+ Produce metrics reflecting the team's performance, including service level agreements.

+ Practice IT asset management, including maintenance of component inventory and related documentation.

+ Direct and manage a large group of technical staff. Conduct performance reviews, provide for staff development, and take prompt corrective action.

Formal Education & Certification

+ Four-year university degree or college diploma in the field of computer science and/or 10 years equivalent work experience.

Knowledge & Experience

+ 10+ years experience managing and delivering hybrid cloud/on premise design and operational excellence.

+ Exceptional knowledge of service and application delivery as well as, successful service level agreement accomplishments.

+ 5+ years of successful leadership for a technical services team.

+ Hands-on experience in troubleshooting hardware.

+ Knowledge of current protocols and standards.

+ Application support experience.

+ Experience in interpreting the applicability of local and federal laws/regulations to company operations.

+ Knowledge or experience with standard enterprise IT frameworks a plus: ITIL, COBIT, PMBOK, etc.
